He is best known for producing electronic dance music (EDM) infused with Bollywood and South Asian musical influences, creating a distinctive sound that bridges Eastern melodies with Western electronic music.

Born in Chattogram, Bangladesh, and raised in San Jose, California, Sanjoy attended Evergreen Valley High School and De Anza College before earning a degree in Business from San José State University. He began his professional music career alongside his longtime collaborator and executive producer Kunal Agarwal. Despite growing up in the United States, Sanjoy has often spoken about his strong Bangladeshi roots through his grandparents.

Sanjoy gained international recognition with his hit single "Shangri-La," which charted on the U.S. Top 40 and Dance Radio charts. In 2017, he released "Obvi" featuring American Idol finalist Elliott Yamin. He continued expanding his global presence by collaborating with Mark Tuan of GOT7 on the 2021 single "One in a Million" and its accompanying music video. In 2022, Sanjoy wrote and produced five tracks for Guru Randhawa's blockbuster album Man of the Moon.

As a producer, Sanjoy is widely recognized for blending South Asian musical elements with contemporary EDM and house music. His collaborations span both international and Bangladeshi artists, including Tahsan, Habib Wahid, Xefer, Muza, and Kona, resulting in several popular songs and remixes that have resonated with audiences worldwide.

In 2026, Sanjoy achieved a historic milestone by performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026. He became the first artist of Bangladeshi heritage to perform on the FIFA World Cup opening stage, sharing the spotlight at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, with Nora Fatehi and French pop artist Vegedream. A song produced by Sanjoy was also featured on the official FIFA World Cup album, marking another significant achievement in his international career.

Today, Sanjoy continues to establish himself as one of the most influential Bangladeshi-origin artists in the global electronic music scene. Through his innovative productions and cross-cultural collaborations, he has successfully introduced South Asian musical identity to audiences around the world while inspiring a new generation of musicians.
