Matt Keough (ম্যাট কিউ) was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a right-handed pitcher from 1977 through 1986 for the Oakland Athletics (1977–1983), New York Yankees (1983–1984), St. Louis Cardinals (1985), Chicago Cubs (1986) and Houston Astros (1986). After his time in MLB, Keough pitched in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Hanshin Tigers for 4 seasons from 1987 through 1990. Keough batted and threw right-handed.

Biography

Former major league pitcher. His son, Shane Keough, was drafted by the Oakland Athletics, the same team that Matt played most of his career with. Father of Kara Keough, Colton Keough and Shane Keough. He pitched 53 complete games, 20 of them in 1980 alone.
After retiring as a pitcher, he was a scout and adviser for the A's. He also worked for the Angels and Rays, and the Hanshin Tigers in Japan. Nephew of Joe Keough, was also a MLB player for Oakland, Kansas City and Chicago White Sox. Matthew Lon Keough was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher from 1977 through 1986 for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Houston Astros.
