Sanjida Akhter began her football journey in 2011, participating in the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Football Tournament while representing Kolsindur Government Primary School. Her outstanding performance caught her attention, and she became a crucial player for Bangladesh’s U-14 team, leading them to victory in the 2015 AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship held in Nepal.

Youth Achievements

Sanjida’s contributions were pivotal in qualifying Bangladesh for the 2017 AFC U-16 Women’s Championship in Thailand. She played in all Group C matches and scored 4 goals in 9 appearances for the U-17 national team. Later, she represented Bangladesh in the 2019 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship qualifiers and the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

One of her career’s most significant achievements came when the Bangladesh women’s football team defeated Malaysia 6-0 during an international friendly at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium, marking one of the team’s biggest wins in history.
