Khandakar Abdul Muktadir (খন্দকার আব্দুল মুক্তাদির) is a Bangladeshi politician and a senior leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He is the incumbent minister of commerce and textiles. He is widely recognized for his role as an advisor to the party's chairperson. He is currently elected as member of parliament.
Background
Muktadir was the son of one of the founding members of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and three time elected Jatiya Sangsad member, Khandaker Abdul Malik.Sylhet Cadet College is his alma mater.
Career
Muktadir lost the 2018 Bangladeshi general election to the Awami League candidate AK Abdul Momen contesting at the Sylhet-1 constituency. But he won the 2026 election securing 176,936 votes while his nearest opponent Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Maulana Habibur Rahman got 134,983 votes.
