Ishraque Hossain(ইশরাক হোসেন) is the son of politician Sadique Hossain Khoka. Sadique Hossain Khoka was a Bangladeshi politician who served as the 2nd mayor of Dhaka City Corporation during 2002 to 2011. He was the vice chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and was President of undivided Dhaka city BNP for longest period of the organisation’s existence.

Ishraque Hossain is a mayoral candidate of South Dhaka. He is an Engineer by profession and also a human rights activist and a politician. He was born in 5th April, 1987. He completed his Engineering from a great University of U.S.

Although there are several senior and qualified candidates in the party, the BNP has chosen young Ishraque Hossain as the mayoral candidate in the Dhaka South City Corporation Election. The identity of the son of former undivided Dhaka mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka is the only visible reason behind the nomination. Also, he is an well educated, patriotic person who dedicate his career for politics.
