Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro is widely accepted as one of the finest 5G mid-range smartphones of 2023. You may check out reviews around the web by well-known reviewers and you’ll see mostly positive talk about this gadget. However, there are two variants of it, Indian and Global which are available in the unofficial Bangladesh market. The global variant has better and more positive reviews and is commonly recommended, but it is priced higher too. If we look at the design, we do appreciate it but the body is fully (except the screen) made of polycarbonate (plastic) which is a clear disadvantage in a mobile phone like this. The display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and together with the splash resistant body, the disadvantage is little covered up.
There is HDR10+ and Dolby Vision in the 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel which is impressive given the cost. The 900 nits brightness is efficient for sunlight viewing and also for camera usage under sunlight. The main 108 MP rear camera has a Samsung ISOCLL HM2 sensor. You’ll see good details, vibrant color contrast, remarkable focus, excellent portrait mode with dynamic range. Overall, the camera is better than we expected. There is an 8 MP ultrawide lens with Samsung H7 sensor which is adequate as well. Then we have very stable video shooting with OIS and great quality and up to 4K recording support. The 16 MP selfie camera has Samsung ISOCELL A1Q sensor with crispy color tones and fine dynamic range. There is Camera2API support for manual camera or GCAM usage.
A full charge takes about 50 to 55 minutes with the 67W charger and you should get about one and half day backup for basic usage. The strongest part about this phone is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, 8 GB RAM and up to 5 GB virtual RAM that facilitates smooth gaming and multitasking. There is also a 6 GB base variant but for best gaming result, we recommend the 8 GB model. Another remarkable thing is the sound quality which should be very well-pleasing. There is IR Blaster and a secondary noise cancellation microphone in Poco X5 Pro.
